Make Star — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Make Star collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use the Make Star mobile application and related websites, including live streaming, messages, posts and reels, virtual gifts, coin wallet, dating discovery mode, and the Professional Creator program.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: username, email or phone number, profile photo, bio, date of birth (for 18+ eligibility), language, verification status, and account settings.
• Content you create: posts, reels, comments, live streams, messages, gifts sent and received, and files you upload.
• Live and realtime: room metadata, viewer counts, co-host and PK participation, stream duration, and anti-cheat signals (such as heartbeat, audio level, camera and microphone state).
• Device and app: device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers where needed, push token (FCM), and crash or diagnostic logs when enabled.
• Location: approximate location when you enable discovery, dating, or location-based features.
• Payments and wallet: coin and subscription purchase history; coin wallet balance, gift earnings, withdrawal requests, and payout details you provide. We do not store full credit card numbers; purchases are processed via Google Play.
• Dating mode (optional): profile preferences, match and discovery interactions, chat charges, and VIP settings when enabled.
• Professional program: streaming hours, daily and monthly goal progress, and love / jewel balance.

3. Device permissions

We may request permissions when needed to provide features:

• Camera and microphone: for live streaming and voice/video chats.
• Storage / photos: to upload content and select images or video.
• Notifications: for messages, live activity, and alerts.
• Location: when you enable discovery or location-based dating features.

You can manage some permissions in device settings; some features may not work without them.

4. How we use data

• Provide and operate the Service (streaming via Zego, realtime data via Firebase, media storage).
• Personalize content, notifications, rankings, and discovery.
• Process purchases, wallet activity, and withdrawals.
• Calculate Professional mode goals and prevent live fraud.
• Moderate content, enforce rules, and respond to reports.
• Improve security, performance, and fix errors.
• Comply with law and respond to legal requests.

Where required by law, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligation.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share data with service providers that help us operate Make Star, including:

• Firebase (authentication, Firestore, FCM push, analytics when enabled).
• Zego (real-time audio and video live streaming).
• AWS S3 or similar cloud storage (images, video, and media).
• Google Play / RevenueCat (in-app purchase processing).
• Moderation, analytics, and support tools when needed.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data to comply with law, protect our rights, or in a merger or acquisition with reasonable notice when appropriate.

6. Data retention

We retain data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, security, payments, withdrawals, disputes, and legal compliance. After account deletion, we may retain limited records (such as financial or moderation logs) for periods required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Account deletion and your rights

You can delete your account in App Settings. Depending on your region you may have the right to:

• Access or receive a copy of your data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of specific or all data.
• Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Children

Make Star is for adults 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we collected a child's data, we will delete it when possible.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring to limit unauthorized access. No system is 100% secure. Report suspected breaches to support@makestar.app.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including countries with different privacy laws. We take reasonable steps to protect data consistent with this Policy.

11. Cookies and analytics

Our websites or services may use cookies or similar technologies to improve experience and analytics. You can adjust browser settings to refuse some cookies.

12. Updates

We may update this Policy. We will notify you of material changes in the App or by reasonable means. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the updated Policy where permitted by law.
